Dateline: Friday, February 19, 2016.... Mammoth Mountain, California, at approximately 9:45 a.m.....

A crowd of skiers and boarders wait for the Ski Patrol to give the ok for the top to open, as well as the back of Chair #3..... due to avalanche control measures being overseen by the Patrol staff after a strong snow storm left 2 - 3 feet of new snow this past Tuesday and Wednesday...

Another foot of snow...

Dateline: Sunday, April 26, 2015... as anticipated, Mammoth Mountain got another foot of snow this past weekend, which clearly created another opportunity to get some skiing in this spring... and so we hit the road on Friday for Lone Pine... on our way to the Manzanar Pilgrimage on Saturday... and then a late afternoon final run up to Mammoth Lakes for a good nite's sleep so we could be on the mountain by 9 a.m.  Mission accomplished.  And here are the photos to prove it.  Enjoy!...
